Hey epyic crew,
Wow, March is flying past. The air is cooling, the trails are quieter, and the water is properly fresh now. We love summer for its electric buzz but autumn is our favourite season for adventures.
This week’s top five adventure picks: a slow paddle along ancient river country with singing around the fire, a hard-earned lookout in the Dandenong Ranges, outdoor climbing at one of Victoria's most iconic crags, a forest therapy walk ten minutes from the city, and a solid 15km training hike through Lerderderg Gorge.
Something for every pace.
See you out there,
Team epyic, Stella & Chris
ADVENTURES THIS WEEK 🔥
🏞️ Voice of the River | Up The Creek
Four days paddling the Murray, camping under open skies, and tuning into a stretch of country that has been here long before any of us. Eddie FitzPatrick leads this slow river journey from Cobram toward Tocumwal: paddle strokes through ancient currents, fireside singing at night, and plenty of quiet time in between. You leave feeling rested, creative, and connected to something quieter. Not a journey across kilometres. A passage through understanding, one paddle stroke at a time.
📅 Thu 26 Mar - Sun 29 Mar 📍Meet at Southern Cross Station to head to Cobram together

🧗 Rock Climbing at Dyurrite | The Climbing Company
Arapiles is one of the great climbing destinations in the country, and The Climbing Company runs social days out there that work for complete beginners and returning climbers alike. No partner needed, no experience required. Guides handle the safety systems so you can focus on the rock. Abseiling usually on the cards too.

🌿 Forest Therapy | Forest Therapy Victoria
Three hours in the urban forest reserve in Malvern East with Matt Glover, Australia's first counsellor accredited with the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance, and a truly wonderful human. Sensory activities, a gentle walk through nature, and quiet to actually hear yourself think. Closer to the city than you'd expect. Further from the noise than you'd believe.
