Continuing our local clubs series to get you out there in 2026, this week we’re spotlighting bushwalking (hiking) clubs. Hiking is one of our favourite ways to reset and ground ourselves. We hope this list helps you get outside, meet good people and let nature do its thing.

🥾 #BUSHWALK (HIKE) Bushwalking clubs are a great way to get outdoors regularly and connect with both people and nature. Most clubs let you try a few walks at low to no cost (often ~$5 per hike to cover insurance). Annual memberships are usually affordable - around $40-50 per annum.
Many clubs offer car pooling, making it easy to join even if you don’t have a car. And despite the name, a lot of them go beyond walking, with cycling, camping, kayaking and social activities to keep the community going.
