Melbourne has that late-summer buzz. Long evenings, warm(ish) water and plenty happening outdoors. This week we’ve got the Melbourne Pride Run bringing colour and community to The Tan, a Mystery Basecamp weekend, a hidden sculpture park island I only just discovered, and plenty more below.

Two nights under the stars, two guided hikes, and that big reset energy we all chase by Sunday arvo. Hosted by Lui from the 7 Days of Fun crew, expect plenty of laughs and adventure without the chaos. This mystery basecamp is capped to keep the group tight, with relaxed camp hangs and that crisp bush air reset we all need.

The Melbourne Pride Run returns to the Botanical Gardens this Sunday - bringing colour, community and good vibes to The Tan. Started by Melbourne Frontrunners in 2017, this non-competitive event celebrates health, wellbeing and inclusion across Melbourne’s LGBTQ+ community. Walk, jog, run or cheer from the sidelines. Just come along.

🥾 Herring Island Day Hike

Join Boroondara Bushwalkers for a relaxed riverside wander from Flinders Street along the Birrarung, then hop on the free weekend punt to Herring Island. Just 4km from the CBD, it’s a 3.2ha sculpture park with winding art trails, River Red Gums and plenty of birdlife. Easy pace, good company, and a different side of Melbourne.
