Kite Republic’s KR SUP Centre is running social group SUP lessons that turn a standard Saturday or Sunday into a little Port Phillip escape. Across 90 minutes you’ll get focused coaching, time to practice on the bay, and a crew of paddlers learning side by side in calm St Kilda conditions. It’s ideal if you are new to SUP or want to sharpen your skills, refresh your safety knowledge, and still have time for a post paddle coffee in St Kilda.

FOMOTrails is launching the first ever Aussie Alpine Backyard Ultra at Falls Creek this New Year’s Eve, and it’s free to enter. The format is simple: one lap every hour until you cannot go on, all set against High Country views and a buzzing village base. Whether you are out for a single loop or chasing 40, you’ll be part of a little slice of trail running history with bibs, an aid station, space for a marquee, and a whole community lining the course. Court Break Club is hosting a three day tennis getaway in early January, and it’s the perfect mix of play and holiday. You’ll stay at Hotel Sorrento, train on local and private courts, and join a crew of tennis-minded travellers from here and abroad.
